Pictured: Since Springtime and Easter is coming in April, I’m using one of “Miss Beas” paintings from the Chapel. I think of her a lot, the memories I have of her and all the wonderful paintings.

By Ivalien Reynolds

It’s a different world these days and our Governor has a big job in making a lot of decisions. Let’s include him in our prayers.

I was thankful to get a letter this week from my step-son Connell who lives in Morehead City, N.C.

On Tuesday, I thought it would be good to go to Elizabeth’s Pizza and get a “big” hamburger, which is my comfort food. They have to do curb service. The burger was delicious and so big that I made two meals out of it.

The squirrels are out and about these days. I’ve seen several running around the yard.

Sure did enjoy my chat with Arlene Trent, then Sue Hall called to check on me. Thank you.

Love and prayers to the family of Mr. Michael Rorrer, who passed away recently. I knew several members of the family.

Mary Ann up in D.C. sent me those puzzle books at a good time, since I have to stay in close, but I’ve been outside a lot, and blessed to do that.

The humming birds usually come in April, but I have seen them around the last of March. That will be something to brighten our days, won’t it?

It was so good to talk to my long–time friend, LaNita Harris. We great up in Mountain View Community- lots of good memories.

Mary Ann called from D.C. and we got caught up on the news here and in D.C. That was a long conversation. I appreciate her so much for that call on Thursday.

I want to PSPHC Women’s Ministry to know my dish garden is looking good and has grown some.

Until next time, stay safe and God bless!

Food for Thought- Only God can gives us an extreme makeover from inside out. WE are the clay and HE is our potter. We are all the work of HIS hand. This quote is from Isaiah 64:8

Mexican Chicken Casserole

1 1/2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cubed

1 large onion, chopped

1 (4oz.) can diced mild chilies

1/2 tsp garlic powder

1 (15oz.) can diced tomatoes

1 can cream of chicken soup

1 cup shredded cheese

In a 3–qt casserole dish, layer chicken along the bottom, set aside. Mix onion, chilies, garlic powder, tomatoes, soup and cheese. Pour over chicken. Bake at 350-degrees for one hour.
