October has flown by.
There are so many things going on. I was so happy to get so go to Woolwine Church to the Rock Castle Gorge meeting. It was wonderful and so interesting to hear the stories from families and some older than me told a lot of family history. Thanks to Beverly Woody for taking me. It was a wonderful day, one I will cherish.
I was so happy to get to go to Burkes Fork Brethren Church. Thank to Mike and Sue Hallis and Hody for taking me. We love sitting by the warm wood stoves. It was good to see Lanita Harris and Wendall. Everyone was so friendly and nice. Food was good also.
It was cold one morning here and the heat came on. I didn’t have frost, but some places looked like it had snowed, and I saw a lot of clear ice on my deck.
The Soup Kitchen cooked up a batch of chicken noodle soup — good.
It was good to see Mrs. Vera Plasters again. She was looking pretty. On Nov. 15, she will be 103 years old.
The revival at Patrick Springs Pentecostal Church was wonderful . If you didn’t attend you sure did miss a blessing.
Thanks to the “Bread man” for bringing us a load of bread. He is a blessing and so is the bread store.
Nice to hear from Mary Ann and get the news from D.C. There is always something interesting going on up there. She had a been to an Amish Market.
Miss Claudine Wood up on the mountain is enjoying all she can before bad weather sets in. She, like me, loves sunny days.
Food For Thought — Lord, even though I know worry is a useless waste of time and energy, it snares me again and again. Worry is a sure sign that we have forgotten to trust in God. Let us all willingly trade our worries for your peace.
