Mr. Charles Franklin Rodgers, age 80 of Patrick Springs, passed away Wednesday, June 3, 2020 at Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. He was born in Patrick County on July 9, 1939 to the late John Cates and Gertie Rodgers Cates. He enjoyed driving and detailing his cars. He was a devoted son who loved taking care of his mama; a loving father to his daughters and “Papa Charles” to his grandbabies whom he adored. He loved spending time with the love of his life, Margaret Spence Massey.

Mr. Rodgers is survived by his two daughters and sons-in-law, Wanda and Guy Wood of Woolwine, Tammy and Blake Baliles of Stuart; seven grandchildren, Crystal Willard, Casey Vipperman, Katina Vipperman, Margaret Brown, Julian Baliles, Matt Baliles and Isaac Wood; and fourteen great-grandchildren.

A private graveside service will be held at New Beginnings Baptist Church Cemetery in Patrick Springs with Pastor Mark Wright officiating. Moody Funeral Home in Stuart is in charge of the arrangements and online condolences may be sent to moodyfuneralservices.com.
