Mr. Charles “Ralph” Beasley

Mr. Charles “Ralph” Beasley, 84, of Claudville VA, passed away Monday, February 15, 2021, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Patrick County on March 3, 1936, to the late Charlie Reed and Gladys Mankins Beasley. Mr. Beasley and his wife owned and operated Beasley Trucking Company, and a faithful member of the Church of Christ in Dry Pond where he served as an elder. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather who will be dearly missed. Mr. Beasley proudly served our country in the United States Army.

He is survived by a son and daughters-in-law, Wendell and Stephanie Beasley; Gina Ferguson, and Paula Beasley; grandchildren, Jennifer Nickelston and husband Andy; great-grandchildren, Isaiah Michael Nickelston, Emma Grace Nickelston, Eden LeeAnn-Taylor Nickelston, Adalyn Caroline-Wilson Nickelston, Palmer Mae Nickelston; step-grandchildren, Justin Bullins, Dustin Bullins, and Cameron Shank-Ramirez; many step-great-grandchildren; a brother and sister-in-law, Roger and Cathy Beasley; many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Mr. Beasley was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Mae Hall Beasley; sons, Allen Beasley, and Michael Beasley; brothers, Ray Beasley, and Sammy Beasley.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, February 20, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at Moody Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. David Heath, the Rev. Rickey Rogers, and the Rev. Aaron Blackard officiating. Burial will follow in the Hall Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy. Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the donor’s choice.
