Mr. Clarence Edgar Hall

Mr. Clarence Edgar Hall, age 87 of Stuart, passed away Thursday, February 4, 2021 at the Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson, NC. He was born in Patrick County on November 6, 1933 to the late Arthur W. Hall and Naomi Ellis Hall. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Patsy Goard Hall; one sister, Pauline Rakes; and one brother, Curtis Hall. Clarence was a member of Peter’s Creek Baptist Church for over 60 years where he served as a deacon and was the church clerk for 50 years. He was a lifelong auto mechanic and retired from Patrick County High School as an instructor. He loved bluegrass music and was a talented banjo player and singer.

Surviving is a daughter, Tammy Robbins of Niceville, FL; one grandson, Benjamin Robbins and wife, Sarah-Ashley Robbins of Denver, CO; a sister-in-law, Louise Goard of Stuart; and several nieces and nephews.

Following Covid19 regulations, a funeral service will be held Monday, February 8, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Peter’s Creek Baptist Church with Pastor Terry Ragsdale officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Friends may come by Moody Funeral Home in Stuart on Sunday, February 7, 2021 from 12 to 5 to pay their respects. Online condolences may be sent to www.moodyfuneralservices.com. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Peter’s Creek Baptist Church Cemetery Fund c/o Delana Biggs, 8214 NC89 Hwy W., Westfield, NC 27053 or to the Gideon Memorial Bible’s, P. O Box 921, Stuart, VA 24171.
