Mr. Danny Lee DeHart, age 73 of Patrick Springs, Virginia passed away on Monday, August 17, 2020, at SOVAH Health of Martinsville. He was born in Patrick County on March 11, 1947, to the late Harry Bunyon DeHart and Barbara Ruth Ore DeHart. Mr. DeHart faithfully served in the U. S. Air Force during the Vietnam War, was an owner/operator of Stuart Communications, and was a founding member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #4007. Danny’s true loves of his life were his kids and grandbabies that called him, Poppie.

Mr. DeHart is survived by his devoted wife, Debbie Barnard DeHart of the home; two children, Alicia Danielle DeHart and fiancé, Jesse Hayden, Jr. of Summerville, South Carolina, and Justin DeHart and wife, Ali of Patrick Springs; four grandchildren, Gabrielle, Jaxson, Harper, and Tyler; one sister, Lois Barbour of Stuart; one brother, Jimmy DeHart of Westfield, North Carolina; several nieces and nephews; and his beloved fur babies, Pearl and Daisy.

A private funeral service will be held with Pastor Ed Hartman officiating. Military Rites will be provided by the Patrick County Veterans Memorial Honor Guard. Friends may visit Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Stuart on Friday, August 21, 2020, from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. to pay their final respects. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to P.T.S.D. Foundation of America, 9724 Derrington Rd, Houston, TX 77064, or to the Patrick County Veterans Memorial Honor Guard, c/o Tom Inman, 426 Big A School Rd., Stuart, Virginia 24171.
