Mr. Jacob LeHue Goad, age 30 of Ararat, Virginia passed away on Wednesday, March 25, 2020. He was born in Patrick County on September 22, 1989. He was preceded in death by paternal grandfather, Wayne M. Goad; maternal grandfather, Curtis Elmo Largen; and one uncle, Elmer Wilson Underwood. Jake loved taking rides on his motorcycle, being outdoors, fishing, and digging for treasures. He will be remembered as a devoted father, loving fiancé, and beloved son.

Mr. Goad is survived by his fiancé, Courtney Montgomery; daughter, River Gracelynn; mother, Lesa L. Largen Goad; father, Darrell Wayne Goad; paternal grandmother, Shelva W. McAlexander; maternal grandmother, Mary Largen; aunts, Susan Goad, Karen Foley, and Joan Goins; special uncle, Louis Kokkinakos; special brother, Lucian Goad; special niece, Bristol Estel Goad; special nephews, Conner Wayne Goad, Lucian Riley Goad; honorary mother, Sandy Montgomery; honorary father, Grayson Montgomery; honorary sister, Nicki Avery; honorary niece, Amaya Avery; honorary nephew, Jonas Avery; best friends, Cam Wright and K.C. Marshall.

A celebration of life service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial donations be made to benefit his daughter, River Gracelynn Goad, c/o Courtney Montgomery, 2911 Willis Gap Road, Ararat, Virginia 24053.
