Mr. James Curtis Bowman

Mr. James Curtis Bowman, age 84 of Lexington, North Carolina (formerly of Meadows of Dan) passed away at his home on May 15, 2021.  He was born in Maryland on June 12, 1936, to the late Estel Bowman and Elsie Spangler Bowman.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Bobby Bowman, and one sister, Shirley Sheppard.  Jimmy faithfully served in the United States Army 82nd Airborne Division during the Korean War.  He will be remembered as a loving husband, wonderful father, and caring Papa.

Mr. Bowman is survived by his devoted wife, Eileen Harris Bowman; three children, Curtis Bowman, Mitzie B. Wagner, and Aleta Lawson; two grandchildren, Chase James Bowman and Balei Wagner; and several nieces, nephews, and friends.

A funeral service for Mr. Bowman will be held on Monday, May 17, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Stuart.  Burial will immediately follow in the Meadows of Dan Baptist Church Cemetery.  Military rites provided by the Patrick County Veterans Memorial Honor Guard and Masonic rites provided by Mountain Home Lodge #263.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services at the funeral home on Monday morning.  Online condolences may be sent by visiting www.moodyfuneralservices.com.
