Mr. William Franklin “Frank” Easter

Mr. William Franklin “Frank” Easter, 76, of Ararat, VA, passed away Friday, November 20, 2020 at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. He was born in Carroll County, VA, November 22, 1943, to the late Willie Samuel and Nellie Irene Bowman Easter. He proudly served and was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army in 1970, receiving a Silver Star, Purple Heart as well as other commendations and service medals. Mr. Easter is survived by his wife, Emma Lee Bowman Easter; a brother, Doug Easter; several nieces and nephews; and many special long-time friends too numerous to list. In addition to his parents, Mr. Easter was preceded in death by a sister, Margaret Easter. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, November 25, 2020, at Mountain View Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery Willis Gap Road in Ararat, VA. Military rites will be conducted by VFW Honor Guard Mt. Airy Post 2019 and Pilot Mountain Post 9436. Anyone is welcome to go by Moody Funeral Home Wednesday to pay their respect during regular business hours. Online condolences may be made at www.moodyfuneralservices.com.
