Mrs. Annie Vaughn Wimbush

Mrs. Annie Vaughn Wimbush, age 88 of Stuart, passed away Sunday, February 7, 2021 at SOVAH of Martinsville.  She was born in Floyd on November 20, 1932 to the late Willie Edgar Vaughn and Vivian Florence Cox Vaughn.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Warren Wimbush; two sons, Frederick Barry Wimbush, Kenneth Lane Wimbush; two daughters, Patricia Ann Wimbush, Constance Renee Wimbush; three brothers, William Kyle Vaughn, Edgar Vaughn, Jr., Jimmy James Vaughn; and a sister-in-law, Thelma Vaughn.  Annie was a member of Iron Belt Christian Church.

Surviving are two sons, Warren H. “Pee Wee” Wimbush, Jr. of Stuart, Paul Michael Wimbush of Craigsville; six grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Gladys Vaughn and Betty Vaughn both of Floyd; and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held Thursday, February 11, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Iron Belt Christian Church with Rev. Junior Wimbush officiating.  Her body will lie in state on Thursday from 10 to 1 at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart for friends to come and pay their respects.  Online condolences may be sent to www.moodyfuneralservices.com.
