Mrs. Carolyn “Carol” Bowman, age 74, of Stuart was called to her heavenly home on August 3, 2020. Carol was born in Franklin County on June 6, 1946 to the late Lola Robertson Campbell and Paul Campbell. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Buelle Hammock; a sister, Joyce Waldron; and a great granddaughter, Elizabeth Yates.

Carol owned the Country Diner for over 15 years. Her employees and customers were loved like family. She also spent 6 years working with her Walmart family. Carol had a strong personal relationship with God that shined through her loving and caring for everyone as her own. This is why most people knew her as, “Moma Carol”. She loved working in her flower garden, reading, and watching old movies. Nothing made her more happy than being with “all of her babies”.

Surviving are two daughters, Jackie Kennedy of Kernersville, NC, Deb (David) Martin of Stuart; one son, Jay (Vanessa) Gunter of Stuart; 14 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; two sisters, Elsie (Lewis) Perdue of Rocky Mount, Edna Cannaday of Martinsville; her fur babies, Peedey and Jazz; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A private family service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice, 18981 Jeb Stuart Hwy, Stuart, VA 24171. Online condolences may be sent to www.moodyfuneralservices.com.
