Mrs. Eunice Spence Bailey, age 84 of Stuart, passed away Thursday, June 24, 2021, at Sovah of Martinsville. She was born in West Virginia on April 13, 1937, to the late Perry and Ida Spence. She married Rev. Dale Bailey on June 24, 1955 and were married for 60 years before he passed away on April 11, 2015. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Shelia Bailey; one granddaughter, Nikki Brown; five sisters, Gladys Walker, Opal McGraw, Gaye Bailey, Pauline McKeehan, Freda Cozort; four brothers, Dennis, Glen, Cecil, and Buddy Spence. Eunice had been a Pastor’s wife for over 30 years and was a member of Mt. Airy Church of God of Prophecy.
Surviving is two sons and a daughter-in-law, Tommy and Judy Bailey, Jerome Bailey all of Stuart; three grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, June 27, 2021 at 4:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Pastors Greg Martin and Curtis Stump officiating. Burial will follow in the Elamsville Church of God of Prophecy Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
