Mrs. Glenda Mae Roberts Hines

Mrs. Glenda Mae Roberts Hines, age 73 of Stuart, Virginia departed this Earthly life on November 9, 2020, at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson, North Carolina.  She was born in Stokes County, North Carolina on December 18, 1946 to the late James Clarence Roberts and Ruth Hickman Roberts.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Emma Lee Pervall; and one brother, Howard Roberts.  Mrs. Hines was a faithful member of Friendship Progressive Primitive Baptist Church and truly enjoyed her church and church family.  Glenda liked shopping with her daughters-in-law, and her beautiful flower gardens.  She will be remembered as a loving wife, devoted mother, and caring grandmother, affectionately called Nana Glen or Granny Glenda by her grandbabies.

Mrs. Hines is survived by her husband of 52 years, William M. Hines of the home; three sons and daughters-in-law, Chavez Lamont Hines and wife, Peggy of Stuart, Christopher Aaron Hines and wife, Ureka of Stuart, and Sandy Hines and wife, Tara of Bassett; four grandchildren, Kandace Hines, Elijah Hines, Zania Hines, and Camden Hines; four siblings, James Roberts of Ararat, Gary Roberts of Ararat, Peggy Penn and husband, Larry of Martinsville, and Louise Valentine of Mount Airy, NC; and a host of nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends.

Graveside services for Mrs. Hines will be held on Saturday, November 14, 2020, at 12:00 noon in Patrick Memorial Gardens with Elder Eric Helton eulogizing.  Friends may come by Moody Funeral Home in Stuart on Friday, November 13, 2020, from 12:00 noon until 5:00 pm to pay their final respects.  Online condolences may be sent by visiting www.moodyfuneralservices.com.
