Mrs. Lou Billingsley Hodges

Mrs. Lou Billingsley Hodges, age 87 of Claudville, passed away peacefully from her earthly home and entered the loving arms of her Savior on Friday, November 6, 2020 at Sovah Health of Martinsville.  She was born in Reidsville, NC on January 17, 1933 to the late William Dow Billingsley and Dura Billingsley Young.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a stepson, Billy Hodges, and many brothers and sisters.  Mrs. Hodges had done Missionary work for many years in the U.S. and Mexico.

         She is survived by her husband, Ray Hodges of the home; one daughter, Melodi Hodges of Greensboro, NC; two sons and daughters-in-law, Alan and Kellie Hodges of Forney, TX, Irvin Ray Hodges, Jr. and Constance M. Hodges of Clifton, TX; one grandchild, Julianne Hodges; two stepchildren, Donna Ray Hodges of Suffolk, Michael Ferrell Hodges of PA; two step grandchildren, Brian Adam Stephenson, Jenny Hodges; a step daughter-in-law, Becky Hodges of Greer, SC; one sister, Gracie Warren of Greensboro, NC; one brother, Johnny Billingsley of Salisbury, NC; many nieces and nephews; and the children of Miracle Hill Children’s Home.

         A graveside service will be held Monday, November 9, 2020 at 2:00 P.M. at the Trinity Baptist Church Cemetery in Claudville with Pastors Chad Harrison and Dave Price officiating.  Online condolences may be sent to www.moodyfuneralservices.com.  Moody Funeral Home in Stuart is handling the arrangements.
