Mrs. Patsy Via Spencer

 Mrs. Patsy Via Spencer, age 81, of Ferrum passed away Wednesday, September 30 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital.  She was born in Patrick County on December 7, 1938 to the late Jesse Nash Via and Nannie Lou Bryant Via.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clinton “Fuzz” Spencer; two sisters, Rena Lou Ingram, Nancy Hancock; and three brothers, Arta Neal Via, Jesse Owen Via, and Clinton Via.  Mrs. Spencer was a charter member of Christian Faith Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school and served as Treasurer.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister.  Her world revolved around her two great granddaughters who were the absolute joy her life.

         Surviving are two sons and a daughter-in-law, Gregory and Barbara Spencer of Ferrum, Teddy Spencer of Ferrum; two grandchildren, Brian Spencer, Jessica Mostyn and husband, Phillip Mostyn; two great granddaughters, Kylee and Kelsey Mostyn; three sisters, Lennis Arene Pickerel of Pulaski, Katie Adeline Lane of Ferrum, Eunice Via Roberts of Stuart; one brother, Grant Kirma Via of Martinsville; and several nieces and nephews.

         Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 3, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Christian Faith Baptist Church with Pastor Richard Dodson officiating.  Due to parking constraints, an immediate family only burial will be held following the service.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.  Online condolences may be sent to www.moodyfuneralservices.com.
