The Patrick County Middle School Lady Cougar basketball team defeated Martinsville last Friday by a score of 23-17.
Danielle King led the scoring with six points with Julianna Overby and Gracelyn Hubbard adding four each.
Last Wednesday, they lost to Halifax 34-14 and lost to Franklin Middle School 24-18 Thursday.
Earlier in the season The PC MS team won over Westwood Middle School 32-9 on December 15. Julianna Overby scored 11 and Gracelyn Hubbard added six. Danielle King scored five.
January 12, the MS girls beat Fieldale-Collinsville 21-19. Abigail Epperson led scoring with six points. Jordan Haas and Emma Jones each had four in the victory.
