Nancy McHone Martin, 73, of Madison, N.C., died Thursday, February 16, 2017, at Morehead Hospital.

She was born May 10, 1943, in Patrick County and was a daughter of the late Alvin Eugene McHone and Alma Frances Lawless McHone. She was also preceded in death by a son, Robin “Coonie” Martin; and a brother, Sterling McHone.

She was a retired employee of Tultex, Inc., and a member of Bald Hill Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Clifford Eugene Martin; daughter, Sandy Neugent; son, Bobby Martin; five grandchildren; sisters, Mary Moore, Peggy Hill and Racheal McHone; brothers, Alvin McHone, Johnny McHone and Jerry McHone; a special aunt and several special nieces and nephews.

The funeral service was held Monday at Colonial Funeral Home Chapel in Madison with Pastor Jimmy Craig officiating. Interment will follow in the Bald Hill Baptist Church cemetery.
