The Patrick County Sheriff’s Office invites everyone to join its members for a “National Night Out,” from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Aug. 2, at DeHart Park in Stuart. There will be a cookout with hot dogs, chips and soft drinks, live music at the pavilion, and swimming at the pool. “America’s Night Out Against Crime” is an initiative started several years ago on a national basis, and adopted locally as a time for law enforcement and the community to get together.
