Samantha Frances Nester was the recipient of the prestigious Daughters of the American Revolution Youth Citizenship Award Wednesday evening, May 19, 2021, at the Stuart Elementary School Seventh Grade Promotional Ceremony. The DAR Youth Citizenship Award acknowledges attributes such as honor, service, courage, and leadership. Samantha was chosen for her honesty, loyalty, kindness, unselfishness, ability to lead, good sportsmanship, and her patriotism.
Samantha said she was “both humbled and excited” to know that her teachers and school officials regard her so highly. “I have always strived for the best and will continue to exhibit the qualities that will give honor to this award.”
In her spare time, Samantha enjoys reading and music. In her community, Samantha shares kindness and assistance to everyone one around her. She loves to help others.
Samantha is the daughter of James and Amanda Nester. She lives in Patrick Springs, Virginia. She is an outstanding student involved in the band and Jr. Beta club. Samantha Nester is an exceptional student. School officials are proud of Samantha in this outstanding achievement.
