The Workforce, Economic and Community Development Division of Patrick Henry Community College announced that Shannon Whitlow is officially the new Career Services Coordinator. The position was effective as of April 29.
In 2017, Whitlow joined Patrick Henry Community College’s Workforce, Economic, and Community Development team as the Workforce Credentials Specialist in the Career Services Center. In her most recent role, Whitlow served as the college’s FastForward coach. In these roles, she has developed strong relationships with regional workforce partners to assist students with financial and supportive assistance and job placement. Whitlow also has previous management experience within the healthcare services industry.
In her new role, Whitlow will coordinate career services to the college and community for work-based learning experience, career advising, job placement, career testing services, industry assessment, as well as employer outreach.
