The Stokes County Art’s Council’s 2019 Come Hear NC music series continues with Pat Flynn and Goodfellers on Saturday, Oct. 12 at The Arts Place of Stokes, 502 Main Street, Danbury, N.C.
As principal songwriter, guitar ace and frequent lead singer of New Grass Revival, he and bandmates John Cowan, Sam Bush and Bela Fleck expanded the possibilities of bluegrass music and brought an expansive acoustic sound into the 1980’s mainstream. He also wrote Do What You Gotta Do, a song first recorded by New Grass Revival that reached the Top 20 of the country charts when Garth Brooks recorded it.
Over the past decade, Flynn has released three solo albums, reQuest, reVision and the new reNew. He is also on a regular on the festival scene, playing MerleFest, Rocky Mountain Folk Festival, Rocky Grass, and Strawberry Music Festival.
Pat will be performing with award-winning bluegrass band, Goodfellers on October 5th at The Arts Place of Stokes. Doors open at 6pm, music begins at 7 p.m.
Tickets are $20 for SCAC members, $25 general admission, $5 for 18 and under. Purchase tickets online by visiting www.stokesarts.org or by calling 336-593-8159.
