The Lady Cougars traveled to North Stokes on Saturday, January 30, getting a 61-24 win over the Lady Vikings.

Gracelyn Hubbard led the Lady Cougars with 13 points, 4 rebounds, 3 steals, and 2 assists.

Sierra Hubbard had 10 points, 5 rebounds, 4 steals, and 3 assists.

Abby Dillon had 9 points, 10 rebounds, 1 steal, and 2 assists.

Allanah Mitchell also added nine points for the Cougars as well as one rebound and four assists.

Julianna Overby, Missy Hazard, S. Hubbard, Dillon, Mitchell all had a three-pointers, while G. Hubbard had three behind the arc.

“Good team win for our kids,” said Coach Donny Rakes. “Coming off a tough loss the night before, then playing in the afternoon, I was concerned about being tired. But they responded well. Almost the entire roster scored, and we shared the ball very well with 22 assists. That’s a big number for a high school team. I’m really proud of our unselfishness. I was very pleased with different players stepping up in scoring. We need that going forward.”
