In anticipation of National Library Week 2023, April 23-29, the Colonel Abram Penn Chapter NSDAR met April 10 at the Patrick County Branch Library for its regular monthly meeting. “There’s More To The Story” is the theme for the week.
Garry Clifton, manager for this branch of the Blue Ridge Regional Library, addressed the group. Clifton used a power point presentation with photographs from the late 1940s to present time to tell the story of the library in Patrick County.
Pictured with Clifton are (l to r) Betty Banks, Lucy Rudd, Clifton, Onie Vaughn, Ann McConnell and Janice Stanley. The photographs on the screen behind the group are of the bookmobile and Patrick County school children borrowing books circa 1950.
