ROBERTA MCMILLAN BRINEGAR
Roberta McMillan Brinegar, 87, of Spencer, died Saturday, November 17, 2018, at her home. She was born on September 10, 1931, in Axton to the late Archer P. and Mollie Jo McMillan. In addition to her parents, Roberta was preceded in death by her first husband Lee Agee, and her sister and brother-in-law Jean and Dan Wilson.
She is survived by her husband Charles W. Brinegar, of 65 years, of the home; two sons Mike Agee (Karen) and Steve Brinegar (Pam); four grandchildren Patrick Agee (Michelle), Brian Brinegar (Stephanie), Stephanie Vipperman (Jason), and Susanne Washburn (Joe); nine great-grandchildren Robbie, Benjamin, and James Agee, Zariah Scales, Bristol Brinegar, Kendra and Kipton Vipperman, and Bryant and Brinden Washburn.
Roberta and her husband Charles were faithful members of Mayo Baptist Church. She worked at Dupont for 2 years and 32 years as a Henry County bus driver. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, and spending time with her cat, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved the sight of beautiful yards, flowers, birds, and clean cars. She graduated from Axton High School in 1948.
The family wishes to express appreciation to the caregivers, Mountain Valley Hospice, Dr. Ben Lewis, CCU staff and Sovah Hospital, pastors, family and friends who shared their love, food, cards, and concern of Roberta.
The family received friends, Monday, November 19, 2018, prior to the service at Mayo Baptist Church, Spencer, and at various times at her home 4796 George Taylor Road, Spencer.
Pallbearers were: Brian, Bill, Tyler and Austin Brinegar, Wayne Taylor, Josh Baker, Joe Washburn, Jason Vipperman, Patrick and Robbie Agee, and Bryant Washburn. Honorary pallbearers were great-grandchildren Zariah Scales, Bristol Brinegar, Kendra and Kipton Vipperman, Brinden Washburn, and Benjamin and James Agee.

Donna Foree, of Stuart, went to be with her Lord on Saturday, November 24, 2018, surrounded by her loving family; husband, Charles Foree; son, Rayburn Chambers and wife, Jessica; mother-in-law, Izzetta Foree; brother-in-law, John Foree; and second cousin, Barbara Yager. She is also survived by her mother, Ellen Smith; a brother and sisters.

LILLIAN BULLINS HOOKER
Lillian Bullins Hooker, age 84, of Lawsonville, N.C., passed away Wednesday, November 21, 2018, at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, N.C. She was born in Stokes County on September 9, 1934, to the late Deddie Carroll Bullins and Perlie Lawson Bullins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Fred M. Hooker; a son, Tommy Hooker; one brother, Donnie Bullins and two brothers-in-law, James Forister Hooker and Bobby Bullins. She attended Fairview Pentecostal Holiness Church. Granny Lillian will be remembered as a happy, caring soul who loved to travel. She cherished her family and especially loved being granny to her grandchildren.
She is survived by her two sons and a daughters-in-law, Wade and Kelly Hooker, of Critz, and Ronnie and Darlene Hooker, of Lawsonville, N.C.; six grandchildren, Jeremy Hooker, Melissa Hooker, Tyler Hooker, Taylor Scearce, Benjamin Hooker and Nicholas Hooker; two great-grandchildren; three sisters, Annie Bullins, of Mayodan, N.C., Shirley and Wayne Pyrtle and Inez Hooker, all of Lawsonville; one brother, Davis and Sharon Bullins, of Lawsonville; and several nieces and nephews.

LUTHER CECIL JUSTICE, SR.
Luther Cecil Justice, Sr., age 94, of Stuart, passed away on November 22, 2018, at McWhorter Hospice House in Monroe, N.C. He was born in Patrick County on January 27, 1924, to the late Luther Floyd Justice and Elsie Goard Justice. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Bernice Leake Justice; one daughter, Margaret Sharon Silva (John); two brothers and two sisters. He faithfully served in the Civilian Conservation Corps, VA and the U.S. Army during World War II, where he was awarded a purple heart.
He is survived by one son, Luther Cecil Justice, Jr. “Buddy” and wife, Joan; four grandchildren, Cecilia Fowler (Mark), Tiffany Irvin (Jason), Jill Dryfhout, and Christopher Silva (Carrie); eight great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

M. MARIE MCALEXANDER
M. Marie McAlexander, 90, of Collinsville, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 22, 2018, at her home. She was born on June 14, 1928, to the late Charlie W. and Elva Thomas Pendleton of Patrick County.
Her memories will be cherished in the hearts of her loved ones, including her husband of 71 years, Amos E. McAlexander; daughter, Judy M. Curry (James); sons, J. Lane McAlexander and Bobby J. McAlexander (Kim); six grandchildren, David C. Curry, Jessie G. Williams (Jeff), Michael S. Curry, Bobby J. McAlexander II, James Matthew Curry (Michelle), and Summer C. A. Parcell (Jamie); and four great-grandchildren, Charley Williams, Corrynn McAlexander, Simon Curry, and Zariah Parcell.
A devoted wife and mother, she was loved by all who knew her. She had a sweet countenance, a beautiful smile, and a delightful sense of humor. A member of Collinsville Church of the Brethren since 1968, her love for children and her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, led her to be a vacation Bible school teacher. She enjoyed oil painting, using the Bob Ross method; and playing Scrabble and Sudoku. Most of all, she enjoyed reading her Bible and praying every day. She also worked at High’s Ice Cream during the 1970’s.
The family received friends on Tuesday, November 27, 2018 in the Chapel of Collins Funeral Home where the funeral service was conducted with Pastor Roy McVey officiating. BARBARA D. MORRIS
Barbara D. Morris, 91, went home to be with the Lord on November 11, 2018, at her home in Charleston, S.C. She was peaceful and surrounded with love. Barbara “Susie” was born in Meadows of Dan on June 29, 1927, to Annanias Dickerson and Eva Puckett Dickerson. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her beloved husband, James Howell Morris, and beloved son, David Arnold Morris.
She is survived by her three children, Hilda Morris, of Charleston, S.C., Johnny Morris, of Murrels Inlet, S.C. and Jeanne Andrews, of Martinsville; six grandchildren: Heath Derrick, of Marietta, Ga., Jeremiah Morris, Amber Tankersley, John Foster, of Stuart, Eddie and Angela Williams of Cullman, Ala., Chad Morris, of Houston, Texas, and several great-grandchildren; sister, Virginia Willard, of Stuart, and longtime friends Brook Billmeyer and Lisa Kluge.
She was known for her compassionate spirit. Her life was full of adventures, laughter and she genuinely loved her family and friends, and was so forgiving of everyone. She never met a stranger and had a heart of gold that will never be forgotten.
