The Open Jam Friday Night held April 26, at 144 The Hollow Road, Ararat, attracted more than 135 attendees, 37 musicians/singers and a large 50/50 drawing. Several homemade cakes also were served to celebrate three recent birthdays.

The event was outstanding, according to Mary Dellenback Hill, who also expressed appreciation to James Houchins, director of Patrick County Tourism; special guest Tyler Hughes, executive director of The Crooked Road, Virginia’s Heritage Music Trail; and all the volunteers, musicians, singers, and audience members.
