Oscar Manuel “O.M.” Rogers, age 54, of Stuart, died Wednesday, May 4, 2016, at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, N.C.
He was born in Stokes County, N.C., on July 9, 1961 and was a son of the late Perry Davis Rogers and Jane Manuel Rogers. He was also preceded in death by his father-in-law, Pete Bowman; and a brother-in-law, Jeff Parrish.
He had worked in the maintenance department at Pioneer Community Hospital and at Stuart Forest Products.
Surviving are his wife, Cletus Ann Rogers of the home; one daughter and son-in-law, Brandi and Chad Duggins of King, N.C.; two stepdaughters, Tonya Holt of Westfield, N.C. and Lesia Weddel of Stoneville, N.C.; one stepson, Michael Holt of Lawsonville, N.C.; 12 grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Debbie and Bradley Wagoner of Walnut Cove, N.C., Roslyn and Ronnie Bullins of Madison, N.C., and Sonya Rogers of Mayodan, N.C.; and three brothers and sisters-in-law, Davis and Sandra Rogers of Walnut Cove, Aaron and Mary Rogers of Pinnacle, N.C. and Ardyne and Shana Rogers of Lawsonville.
Funeral services were held Saturday at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Pastor Tommy Shepherd and the Rev. Mike Manuel officiating. Burial was in Stateline Cemetery.
