The County of Patrick is accepting applications from qualified applicants for a part-time Solid Waste Transfer Station Attendant.
Duties of the position will include, but are not limited to, customer assistance, operation of scales, loading trailers, and facility maintenance. The preferred candidate must be capable of performing manual labor, possess good interpersonal skills, and be able to communicate effectively with the public. Basic math, clerical, and computer skills to prepare customer tickets and perform record keeping are required.
A high school diploma or GED is preferred. Applicants must be willing to submit to a background check and drug screen.
This is a part-time position with no benefits. Hourly wage is $15.45. Hours will be scheduled as required between 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, with rotating Saturdays. Hours are limited to 29 or less per workweek.
