National Beta is proud to announce Patrick County Public Schools as a 2024-2025 National District of Distinction. This award is given to those deserving districts that offer National Beta in all schools in their district, and that induct qualifying students in all eligible grades (4‐12). Patrick County Public Schools is one of only 78 districts to receive this award nationwide.
Through the exceptional efforts of deserving Beta students, sponsors, educators, and families, Patrick County Public Schools has flourished since the district’s initial Beta charter. This national award speaks highly of Patrick County Public Schools’ commitment to academic excellence, leadership development, and service involvement, and illustrates its dedication to preparing students for college, and career readiness. The students in the district understand the importance of these qualities and exemplify the Beta motto, Let Us Lead by Serving Others.
Award recipients received a National Beta District of Distinction award to display proudly at their district office. In addition, National Beta District of Distinction principals received a plaque to display at their school.
“Our selection as a National Beta District of Distinction is a reflection of the outstanding collaboration between our students, educators, club sponsors, principals, and families,” said Jason Wood, Superintendent of Patrick County Public Schools. “It is a testament to the culture of excellence we strive to foster, where leadership, service, and academic success go hand in hand. National Beta’s mission to promote the ideals of academic achievement, character, service, and leadership aligns deeply with the values upheld throughout Patrick County’s schools.”
The recognition highlights the efforts of dedicated staff and the exceptional students who live out the Beta motto: Let Us Lead by Serving Others. As part of this recognition, Patrick County Public Schools will receive a National Beta District of Distinction award to be displayed proudly at the district office. Each participating school principal will also receive a commemorative plaque. “We are incredibly proud of our students and staff for earning this national honor,” Wood added. “This award affirms our commitment to preparing students for the future—college, careers, and lives of meaningful service.”
