The Patrick Springs Ruritan Club presented the Tom Downing Fellows Award to two members of the club during the October monthly meeting.

Kevin Reynolds and David L. Clement received the award for years of service to the Patrick Springs community and Patrick County.

The prestigious Tom Downing Award is the highest award given to a Ruritan. Fewer than 4 percent of all Ruritans are Tom Downing Fellows, making this a distinctive honor among members.

This honor from Ruritan National Foundation, sponsored by the club, is earned by one who demonstrates unselfish personal effort to the club and the community. Kevin and David received the awards with family, friends, and Ruritan members in their presence at the meeting.

Participating in the presentation is Charlie Bowman, former member of the Dan River District Cabinet and Zone 1 Governor.
