PCHS Fishing Team competes in first tournament of the school year

It was a great day on the water for the Patrick County High School Fishing Team during the 1st State Qualifier of the season at Philpott Lake against regional high school states Melanie and Hylton Scott.

Congratulations to Evan Eastridge and Wesley Kruse on placing 1st in the Junior Division with a 5 fish limit weighing in at 9.97 pounds. These 2 anglers, along with Cameron Redd, Parker Jones, Kipton Vipperman and Trenton Miller have all qualified for the State Tournament next Spring.

The team also had success in the Senior division. Congratulations to Jacob Spencer and Tripp Thompson on placing 4th with 10.96 pounds, securing their spot in the State Championship next Spring as well. Congratulations to all.
