PCHS members compete, win at Virginia Senior Beta Convention

Members of the Patrick County High School Senior Beta club traveled to Virginia Sr. Beta Convention in Hampton, VA on February 6-8, 2025. Seventy PCHS students participated in the convention with sixty-eight students attending in person and two students attending virtually.  

 Several PCHS students did very well at the convention. Callie Wood was elected Virginia Senior Beta President. Thomas Eckman, won first place in Agriscience for the ninth grade; Callie Wood, placed third in Poetry Division II; Kylei Blevins, placed third in Color Photography Division II; Willow Hylton, placed second in Creative Writing Division I; Tara Collins, placed third in Hand Drawn Anime Division II; Lacey Sutphin, won first in Language Arts for the tenth grade and placed third in the Mixed Media Division I; Isobel Clay, placed third in Psychology for the tenth grade; Michael Perez, won first in Recyclable Art Division II; Draysin Maselli, won first place in Social Studies for the eleventh grade; Lastly, Aiden Slate, placed third in US History for ninth grade.

Additionally, Patrick County High School won first place in the Club Trading Pins, Performing Arts Variety Act, Campaign Skit, and third place in Quiz Bowl. We thank all participants and congratulate those who have placed. We are thankful to all who helped us prepare for the convention. 

PCHS members are currently preparing and fundraising to travel to the National Senior Beta Convention in Orlando, FL this June.
