The Patrick County Varsity and JV Volleyball teams travelled to Bassett on Oct. 1. Varsity lost three straight sets with scores of 20-25. 19-25, and 29-31. The team had 33 digs, 11 aces, 31 kills, 28 assists, and four blocks. The JV team won the first set 29-27 but lost the next two sets 9-25 and 6-15. The team earned 19 kills with 19 assists, 21 digs, and seven aces in the match. On October 3,the Lady Cougars hosted Tunstall. The varsity team lost three straight sets with scores of 23-25, 21-25, and 18-25. The Cougars had 39 digs, eight aces, 20 kills, and 19 assists. Their record is now 6-9. The JV team lost in two sets with scores of 25-27 and 19-25. The team had 19 kills, 17 assists, three aces, and 31 digs. The JV Lady Cougars are 7-8 on the season.
