PHCC to offer OSHA 10 training program

Patrick Henry Community College has announced that the OSHA 10 training program will be offered Thursday-Friday, June 8-9 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

This 10-hour Occupational Safety and Health Administrative (OSHA) training for entry level workers covers general industry safety and health hazards. A certification card is awarded upon successful completion.

Training topics Include: Introduction to OSHA, Walking and Working Surfaces, Emergency Action Plans, Fire Prevention/Protection, Electrical Safety, Personal Protective Equipment, and Hazard Communication.

The cost is $80.

Pre-registration is required: Call (276) 656-0260 for information.

Contact the local business services manager to find out how to take advantage of reimbursement for training based on a company’s size prior to the start of training: 90% – 50 or less employees; 75% – 51-100 employees; or 50% for more than 100 employees.
