The Patrick Henry Community College (PHCC) women’s soccer team announced its schedule for the upcoming 2016 season.
The Lady Patriots kick off the season with an away match at Hollins University on August 23 in the first of a five match road swing. The team travels to William Peace College (N.C.) August 25, USC Lancaster (August 28), Cape Fear Community College (September 3), and Wake Tech CC (September 7).
After a week to recover from the extended road schedule, the Lady Patriots open its home season on September 14 with a game against defending Region X champion Spartanburg-Methodist College (S.C.) at the Smith River Sports Complex before heading to Warren Wilson College (N.C.) on September 17.
PHCC returns to Martinsville to host Louisburg College (N.C.) on Wednesday, September 21. Following that game, the team travel for two quick matches over the weekend against Frederick CC (Md.) on the 24th and Howard CC (Md.) on the 25th.
The Lady Patriots then host a pair of matches, facing Trinity University (D.C.) on September 29 and Johnson & Wales University Charlotte October 1. With a quick turnaround, they play the Community College of Baltimore County (CCBC) Essex on October 2, then to Spartanburg-Methodist (October 5) and USC-Salkehatchie (October 8.)
The Lady Patriots finally get a relief from the road with five matches in a row at home. Cape Fear CC comes to the Smith River Sports Complex on October 12, followed by CCBC Catonsville (October 15), USC Lancaster (October 16), Wake Tech CC (October 19), and USC Salkehatchie (October 22). To close out the season, the team travels to Louisburg College on October 23.
