Patrick Henry Community College is offering a new Certified Billing and Coding Specialist program that makes students more competitive in the healthcare information management field.
This 14-week program starts Monday, September 12. Classes will meet Monday through Thursday from 6 to 9:30 p.m. and every other Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Along with this new program, PHCC offers several different options for those looking to get out of school and into the workforce quickly. The following programs are returning this fall:
• Certified Nurses Aide (CNA), October 10-November 20;
• Electrical Groundsman, October 3-November 1;
• Commercial Driver License (CDL) training, multiple options, please inquire.
Students taking these classes may be eligible to receive the Workforce Credentials Grant which covers 60 percent of tuition costs. Additional funding assistance may also be available.
More short-term training options available this fall include: Veterinary Assistant Program, September 19-November 30; Customer Service Workshop, October 13; Customer Service for Healthcare, October 4-25; Customer Service for Healthcare Part 2, November 8-29; and Management Bootcamp, October 5-November 2.
