April is here and that means it’s time for the annual “Pick Up Patrick” campaign.

This year, the Patrick County Chamber of Commerce is mixing it up a bit by asking people to pick up the trash in their area or along the road, and then posting a picture of their efforts to the Chamber’s Facebook page.

“We will monitor the page and enter all posts into weekly drawings for gift cards from local restaurants, picnic, and Patrick County themed prizes. This way you can grab some food with your gift card and head to a favorite picnic spot in the county or enjoy your meal outdoors on one of the picnic tables that the Patrick County Leadership group placed at restaurants last fall,” said Rebecca Adcock, executive director of the chamber.

Orange trash bags are available at the chamber or Town of Stuart offices and the Reynolds Homestead. This campaign is made possible by the chamber, Patrick County Tourism, Town of Stuart, and Keep Virginia Beautiful.
