Meadows of Dan Elementary School held a recognition program on September 15 to say thank you to the groups and individuals who made the playground renovations possible.
Those recognized include the Patrick County School Board and Dr. William Sroufe for supporting the project. Two support groups, Meadows of Dan Booster Club and Meadows of Dan Ruritan Club, were both recognized for making financial contributions to the project.
Pat Stanley and Keith Howell were recognized for volunteering their equipment and time to work on the playground. The school also recognized the Patrick County Maintenance Department for their hard work in completing the playground. Members of the maintenance department include: Wayne Scott, Keith Puckett, Marie Hall, Scott Eastridge, Larry Goins, Delano Pendleton, Danny Pendleton, Ronnie Nester, and Tony Nester.
