Weather permitting, beginning Oct. 5, at 8 a.m., a portion of Virginia 631 (River Road) in the Patrick County community of Ararat will be closed to traffic for bridge milling and paving.
A three-mile detour will be in place. Westbound traffic will use Virginia 735 (Boyd Hollow Road) to Virginia 823 (Spring Branch Road) to Virginia 631 (Doe Run Road) and return to River Road. Eastbound traffic will use Virginia 631 (Doe Run Road) to Virginia 823 (Spring Branch Road) to Virginia 735 (Boyd Hollow Road) and return to River Road.
Work is expected to be completed by 5 p.m. Friday, Oct. 9, weather permitting.
