Thank you, Pastor Sam Foley (for the letter in the April 6 Enterprise).
I would like to say thank you to North Carolina and Mississippi for upholding the spiritual values of God’s Holy Book of Life. I hope others will follow the same path and not abide by false teachings of the Bible.
It is in the Bible that it is an abomination in God’s eyes for a man to lay with another man as he would a woman, but it also in the Bible that homosexuality is no greater sin than what was written in the Old Testament by the 10 Commandments.
My biggest point of this is the equality, the gay world’s cry about what will God say when you stand before him and ask the same thing, that you want equality in heaven to be gay?
I pray that the world of homosexuality will not take it that far. Just know that God has made the most important sacrifice that mankind will ever know. He gave us his son, Jesus, to die for us for the sins that we all have done. The blood that ran down his body and onto the cross was blood for us.
When we let the world rule us, that is when The Great I Am will send Christ back and once and for all put Satan as the only ruler of hell here on Earth.
Please do not think I’m judging anyone, because I am only human myself, but if I can’t be an apostle to the true word of God and his son Jesus and help the lost find salvation through him, then I haven’t done a very good job myself. According to the Bible, marriage is ordained by God to be between a man and a woman (Genesis 2:21-24; Matthew 19: 4-6). Gay marriage/same-sex marriage is a perversion of the institution of marriage and an offense to the God who created marriage.
As Christians, we are not to condone or ignore sin, read in the book of James 4:17. Rather, we are to share the love of God and the forgiveness of sins that is available to all, including homosexuals, through Jesus Christ.
We are to speak the truth in love (Ephesians 4:15) and contend for truth with “gentleness and respect (1 Peter 3:15). As Christians, when we make a stand for truth and the result is personal attacks, insults, and persecution, we should remember the words of Jesus: “If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first. If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you.” (John 15:18-19)

The Bible doesn’t speak of homosexuality very often, but when it does, it condemns it as sin.
Leviticus 18:22, “You shall not lie with a male as one lies with a female; it is an abomination.
Leviticus 20:13, “If there is a man who lies with a male as those who lie with a woman, both of them have committed a detestable act; they shall surely be put to death. Their bloodguiltness is upon them.
1 Corinthians 6:9-10, “Or do you not know that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals, 10 nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers, shall inherit the kingdom of God.”
Romans 1:26-28, “For this reason God gave them over to degrading passions; for their women exchanged the natural function for that which is unnatural, 27 and in the same way also the men abandoned the natural function of the woman and burned in their desire toward one another, men with men committing indecent acts and receiving in their own persons the due penalty of their error. 28 And just as they did not see fit to acknowledge God any longer, God gave them over to a depraved mind, to do those things which are not proper.”
Homosexuality is clearly condemned in the Bible. It undermines God’s created order when He made Adam and Eve, a man and a woman, to carry out his command to fill and subdue the earth (Genesis 1:28). Homosexuality cannot carry out that mandate.
In addition, homosexuality undermines the basic family unit of husband and wife which is the God-ordained means of procreation. Again, homosexuality cannot do that. Believe it or not, it is also dangerous to society. Homosexuality has a heavy judgment administered by God himself upon those who commit it and support it.
As for the Catholic Church, check their records out. There have been over 3,000 priests and nuns over the last 50 years worldwide that have been accused of unnatural sex acts with children. In 1998 the Roman Catholic Church paid out $30.9 million to 12 victims of this molestation of children. In July of 2003, they paid $25.7 million to settle sex abuse in 240 lawsuits naming 34 priests. In 2003 they paid $85 million for 552 alleged victims, and in 2004 they settled nearly 90 cases for $100 million.
The list goes on and on. The Associated Press reported that from 1950 to 2007 the Roman Catholic Churches paid out more than $2 billion. I’ll just say that the Popes knew about all of that.
As for the lady who spoke of the denominations of her husband and herself and their children, denominations are manmade and not God made. Show me a denomination in the Holy Bible.
I take all of this very seriously because I have two daughters that claim to be gay, and they won’t even speak to me because I want them in Heaven with me and I want them to know to be saved by grace through faith in our Lord Jesus Christ.
Our nation’s president has allowed the LGBTQ to desecrate our promise from God through a rainbow that He would never again flood the Earth that he created. The LGBTQ has no right to fly the colors of God’s promise.
