Rebecca Jane “Becky” Clifton Turman, age 81, of Meadows of Dan, passed away Sunday, October 16, 2016, at Blue Ridge Therapy Connection in Stuart.
She was born in Carroll County on April 4, 1935 and was a daughter of the late Elder Benny Clifton and Edrie Ruth Terry Clifton. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Betty C. Terry.
Surviving are her husband, Golden Douglas Turman of the home; one daughter and son-in-law, Dianna and David Flake of Summerville, S.C.; two sons and daughters-in-law, Neil Douglas and Theresa Turman of Waxhaw, N.C., and Clifton Golden and Sandra Turman of Fredericksburg; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and two sisters, Judy Poindexter of Martinsville and Carol Cruise of Ridgeway.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 20 at 2 p.m. at New Dan River Primitive Baptist Church with Elder Alan Terry officiating. Burial will follow in Old Bell Spur Primitive Baptist Church cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
