Artists interested in entering work in Expressions 2019, the annual open-entry exhibition presented by Lynwood Artists and Piedmont Arts, should drop off their work at Piedmont Arts on Saturday, May 4, 2019 between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.

Before entering work, all artists should review the Expressions 2019 entry form with rules and important information about the entry process. Entry forms are available at Piedmont Arts, located at 215 Starling Avenue, and online at PiedmontArts.org.

Expressions 2019 is a judged exhibition with cash prizes awarded for first, second and third place in seven categories, as well as purchase awards, the Lynwood Artists Award and Best In Show.

This year’s exhibition will be judged by Jeff Liverman, executive director at Floyd Center for the Arts in Floyd.

Residents of Martinsville and/or residents of all counties and cities within a 100-mile radius of Martinsville, including high school students in grades 9 – 12, may enter work in Expressions 2019.

No more than two works may be submitted by each artist and all work must adhere to the guidelines found in the Expressions 2019 entry form. No early or late submissions will be accepted.

Artists who are members of Lynwood Artists or high school students may also enter work on Thursday, May 2, from 4 to 6 p.m. at the museum.

Expressions 2019 will be on display May 18 through July 19 at Piedmont Arts. An opening reception and awards ceremony will be held Friday, May 17 at 6 p.m. at the museum. Exhibit admission is always free.
