
The Patrick County Sheriff’s Office is seeking information in the thefts of several bronze vases from gravesites at Patrick Memorial Gardens.
The sheriff’s office, along with Patrick Memorial Gardens, is offering a substantial monetary reward for information leading to the arrest of those responsible.
The thefts were recently discovered and have caused significant concern for the families and loved ones of those whose gravesites were affected.
“The removal of memorial items from burial sites is a deeply troubling offense that impacts both the families involved and our community as a whole. We are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying any individuals who may be responsible or who may have information regarding the thefts,” Lt. Steve Austin said in a release.
Investigators are actively pursuing leads and gathering information related to these incidents.
Anyone who saw suspicious activity at Patrick County Memorial Gardens, or anyone who has information that may help the investigation, is encouraged to contact the Patrick County Sheriff’s Office at 276-694-3161, or submit information anonymously, via messenger on the social media page.
“The families who visit these graves deserve answers,” Austin said. “If you know who’s responsible for this, take a long look at the attached picture and do what your conscience has already told you to do.”
