Thirty artists, artisans and crafters from Patrick and Henry counties will host the second annual Holiday Arts and Crafts Fair on Saturday, Nov. 19, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Community Enrichment Center at the Reynolds Homestead.
Those who want to keep their holiday shopping local may select from hundreds of handmade items including pot holders, photography, fine art, baked goods, ornaments, crocheted and knitted items, and handcrafted soaps and lotions.
Shoppers can also purchase lunches of soup and cornbread or hot dogs and chips, plus a drink, for $5. Take-out quarts of homemade Brunswick stew with two corn muffins will be available for $8.
“Last year’s event was very popular,” said Becki Turner, Reynolds Homestead volunteer and co-coordinator of the fair. “Everyone should try to come early to get the best selection of goods.”
This year, to ensure good traffic flow, shoppers are asked to enter the building through the downstairs, visiting those artists and artisans before moving upstairs to continue shopping and have lunch.

Gift baskets such as this one by Joy Lavender Farm are one of the hundreds of locally made items for sale at the Reynolds Homestead Arts and Crafts Fair.
