The Reynolds Homestead in Critz is expanding its American Music programs by producing traditional American Music concerts each month of the year.
Local and regional artists and bands are scheduled monthly through 2016 and plans are in the works for 12 music productions through 2017. “American Music at Reynolds Homestead” will continue to explore the roots of old-time, bluegrass, blues, jazz and gospel music with many talented artists from Patrick County and neighboring Virginia and North Carolina communities.
The expansion will begin with the Fairy Stone State Park Summer Concerts at Shelter #2. These concerts are free, but there is a $5 per car parking charge at the park.
The first Fairy Stone concert will be held Saturday, May 7 at 7 p.m. and will feature The F.A.R.M. T.E.A.M.
The other park concerts will be held Saturday, July 2 from noon until dusk at the annual Flow Fest; and Friday, August 12 at 7 p.m. with Simple Gifts of the Blue Ridge.
The Reynolds Homestead will also host The Crooked Road All-Star Band on Monday, June 13 at 7 p.m.
The fourth annual Bushels and Barrels Festival will be held at the Reynolds Homestead on June 17-18.
