The Cpl. Jonathan Bowling Memorial Scholarship Ride attracted motorcyclists from as far away as Canada. Cyclists lined up Saturday to depart the Patrick County High School as the ride got underway.
Master Virginia State Police Trooper Darrell Bowling, retired, is a driving force in the memorial ride to honor his son, Cpl. Jonathan W. Bowling. Funds raised during the ride benefit the Cpl. Jonathan W. Bowling Memorial Scholarship at Patrick Henry Community College.
