Beginning March 19, a lane closure will be in place for Virginia 773 (Ararat Highway) for a bridge replacement. Signal lights will control traffic and motorists should use caution in the work zone. This bridge replacement is scheduled to be completed by October 3, according to the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT).

The agency also said guardrails will be installed on Lovers Leap Mountain on U.S. 58 eastbound and westbound, from 0.80 miles east of Virginia 610 to 0.08 miles west of Virginia 8 MM 0. Lane closures will be in place, Monday through Thursday, 7 a.m. – 8 p.m.  Drivers should expect 10-15 minutes wait time.
Lane closures may be in place during daylight hours for shoulder repairs in various areas. Watch for flaggers controlling traffic.

Crews also will be working on various secondary roads to replace pipes under the roadway, with periodic lane closures during daylight hours on weekdays.  Watch for flaggers controlling traffic.
