Robbery suspect arrested

The third suspect in a robbery case was arrested Feb. 17, according to a report from Sheriff Dan Smith.
Anthony Joseph Mullins, 52, of Patrick Springs, was charged with robbery by Deputy Oscar Tejeda, who investigated the case, Smith said.
The robbery occurred at a residence in the county-line area Feb. 7, when three men allegedly took money from two victims and beat them with a baseball bat, Smith said last week.
David Wayne Gilley of Patrick Springs was charged with two counts of brandishing a firearm and one count of robbery.
John Henry McBride of Bassett was charged with robbery, malicious wounding, and property damage.
Mullins was sought by law enforcement officers until his arrest Feb. 17.
Mullins was also charged with animal cruelty on Feb. 19.
Deputy Justin Lewis made the arrest in that case, which was investigated by Deputy R. Williams.
Sheriff Smith also reported the following arrests:
•Nicholas Eric Cahoon, 19, of Collinsville, was arrested Feb. 13 on charges of identity theft used to avoid arrest, resisting arrest, and driving a motor vehicle with a suspended or revoked license.
State Trooper R. Dillon made the arrest.
•Jason Ray Ziglar, 33, of Stuart, was arrested Feb. 21 on charges of hit and run, driving with a suspended or revoked license, reckless driving, and operating an unregistered vehicle.
State Trooper Noah D. Knight made the arrest.
•Ernest Marvin Casey, 45, of Martinsville, was arrested Feb. 16 on a charge of failure to report for trial.
Henry County made the arrest for Patrick County.
•Kendall Rontae Dodson, 26, of Spencer, was arrested Feb. 19 on charges of failure to appear and contempt of court.
Deputy Lewis Carroll made the arrest on a Patrick County charge.
•William Beverly Hodges IV, 44, of Martinsville, was arrested Feb. 19 on a charge of failure to appear in court.
Investigator Danny Martin made the arrest.
•Justin Wayne Adkins, 26, of Lawsonville, N.C., was arrested Feb. 19 on a charge of failure to report to jail.
Trooper Knight made the arrest.
•Angela Faye Smith Marshall, 41, of Stuart, was arrested Feb. 20 on a charge of assault on a family member.
Trooper Knight made the arrest.
•Terry Lee Forbuss Jr., 48, of Stuart, was arrested Feb. 20 on a charge of assault on a family member.
Trooper Knight made the arrest.
•Shirley Higgs Wade, 51, of Stuart, was arrested Feb. 21 on a charge of shoplifting.
Deputy Jesse Pickerel made the arrest.
•Sidney Jason Roberts, 27, of Stuart, was arrested Feb. 12 on charges of using profane or threatening language over the public airwaves and threatening an illegal or immoral act over the telephone.
Deputy J.D. Hubbard made the arrest.
•Daniel Elwood Duncan, 27, of Stuart, was arrested Feb. 12 on a charge of assault and battery.
Investigator Martin made the arrest.
•Wanda B. Robinson, 59, of Ararat, was arrested Feb. 14 on a charge of issuing a bad check.
Investigator Martin made the arrest.
•Ricky Inman, 54, of Ararat, was arrested Feb. 14 on a charge of issuing a bad check.
Deputy D.A. Gray made the arrest.
•Carl Danny Shelhorse Jr., 43, of Stuart, was arrested Feb. 16 on a charge of failure to appear in court.
Deputy Hubbard made the arrest.
