Roger Leon Foddrell

Mr. Roger Leon Foddrell, age 86 of Stuart, Virginia passed away at his home on December 16, 2024. He was born in Patrick County on July 4, 1938, to the late Posey Lester Foddrell and Allie Edwards Foddrell. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Pamela Chubner; a grandchild, Devin Reddick; nine siblings, Elizabeth F. Redd, Lloyd Foddrell, Sarah “Willie” F. Moore, Marvin Foddrell, Elva Clarke, Lucy McCray, Turner Foddrell, William Van Buren Foddrell, and Phillip Foddrell. Mr. Foddrell faithfully and honorably served in the United States Air Force. He was a member of the Christianview Christian Church. As a member of the family of God, Mr. Foddrell strived to be a beacon a of light in a world that needs the reminder of Jesus’s love. Mr. Foddrell truly loved the Lord.

Left to cherish the memories of Mr. Foddrell are his wife, Loretta Bryant Foddrell of the home; one daughter, Rhonda F. Traylor (James) of Huber Heights, Ohio; five grandchildren, Victoria Weatherspoon, Deaun Reddick (Randeep), Danielle Traylor, James Traylor (Priti), Alicia Daniels Hill (Demetrius); twelve great-grandchildren; one son-in-law, Stan Chubner of Trenton, Michigan; one sister, Patricia Foddrell of Stokesdale, North Carolina; a great host of nieces and nephews; and his beloved church family.

A homegoing service for Mr. Foddrell will be held on Saturday, December 21, 2024, at 11:00 at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Pastor Tim Oaks officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to his church, Christianview Christian Church, 543 Anglin Mill Road, Stoneville, NC. Online condolences may be made by visiting www.moodyfuneralservices.com.
