Macie Rogers was the only Patrick County High School cross country runner to qualify for competition at the 3A West Regional championships last week; she finished with a season’s best performance.
“We were very proud of Macie’s season as a whole. After taking the spring and most of the summer off to recover from an injury, she improved steadily throughout the season,” Coach Danel Slaydon said. “Macie has built a strong base of strength and mileage, which has set her up for a great indoor season,” he added.
Indoor track season began Monday, Nov. 7. “Macie will join the rest of her indoor track teammates Tuesday, Nov. 29, at the JDL Fast Track Invitational in Winston Salem, NC,” he said.
