A majority of the Patrick County Board of Supervisors on Monday supported a motion to not renew County Administrator Tom Rose’s employment contract.
Jane Fulk, board chairman, said Clyde Deloach, of the Blue Ridge District, made the motion that was effective immediately.
The motion was supported in a 4 to 1 vote, with Fulk voting against it.
The board also appointed Geri Hazelwood to serve as interim county administrator.
